A Prestigious National Recognition

“Out of thousands of startups nationwide, these 14 companies represent less than 1% of applicants and have demonstrated exceptional growth potential,” said Deborah Crown, Dean of Pepperdine Graziadio Business School. “Being recognized as a Most Fundable Company is more than just an honor; it signals to investors that these companies are positioned for long-term growth.”

Launched in 2018, Pepperdine’s Most Fundable Companies program has become one of the most respected startup competitions in the United States. Open to early-stage U.S.-based companies, the competition is designed to shine a spotlight on investment-worthy ventures that have the potential to scale and succeed.

Each entrant is evaluated on rigorous criteria including financial projections, market opportunity, intellectual property, competitive advantage, and management team strength. A distinguished panel of investors, venture advisors, and Pepperdine faculty reviewed submissions from across the country to determine this year’s winners.

“Entrepreneurship is the lifeblood of innovation, and our Most Fundable Companies program is designed to help identify and support the brightest and most promising startups,” said Craig Everett, PhD, Executive Director of the Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Project. “We are proud to recognize PVpallet as one of the companies most worthy of investor attention in 2025.”

Honoring the PVpallet Mission

For PVpallet, being named to this prestigious list is a validation of years of hard work tackling one of the least glamorous, yet critical, parts of the supply chain: packaging.

“At PVpallet, we’re reinventing packaging to help industries cut costs, reduce breakage, and eliminate waste,” said Philip Schwarz, CEO of PVpallet. “Being recognized as a Most Fundable Company affirms the strength of our vision and highlights the impact that smarter, more sustainable packaging can have on the solar industry and beyond.”

PVpallet’s reusable pallets, bins, and custom-fit packaging are designed to replace single-use wood and cardboard. By integrating real-time tracking software, the company gives its customers visibility and control at scale. Already working with leading players in solar, manufacturing, and logistics, PVpallet is proving that packaging can be both sustainable and profitable.

A Celebration of Entrepreneurship

The winners of the 2025 Most Fundable Companies competition were honored at a showcase event on September 25 at Pepperdine’s campus in Malibu, California. The event brought together entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders to celebrate the companies shaping the future of business.

“This recognition is more than an award—it’s a signal to the investment community that PVpallet is building something enduring,” said Schwarz. “We’re honored to be listed among so many innovative startups that are tackling challenges across industries, and we’re grateful to Pepperdine for championing entrepreneurship on a national stage.”
