Reusable Solar Panel Pallets

Customers have cut solar panel breakage by over 95% — built for EPCs, solar installers, and solar warehouses.

PVpallet’s solar panel pallets are reusable, heavy-duty packaging solutions designed to protect solar modules across residential, commercial, and utility-scale projects. They help installers and warehouse teams safely store, move, and handle solar panels—from delivery and warehouse storage to installation. Built specifically for solar applications, PVpallet solar panel pallets reduce breakage, improve stacking and organization, and eliminate the waste and inconsistency of single-use pallets.

Packaging Designed for Solar Panels

Engineered specifically for solar panels to improve protection, storage, and handling.

Solar panels are high-value, fragile products, and the way they’re packaged directly affects damage rates and handling efficiency. PVpallet solar panel pallets are designed specifically for solar panels—not adapted from generic pallet designs. Unlike traditional wood pallets and single-use packaging, PVpallet pallets provide consistent support and load stability during warehouse storage, transport, and jobsite handling. The result is less breakage, better organization, and more reliable handling across multiple projects.

Solar Panel Pallet Key Benefits

Reduce solar panel breakage & packaging waste

  • Customers have cut panel breakage by over 95% — Full-height sidewalls and a reinforced base protect solar panels during warehouse storage, transport, and jobsite handling.

  • Lower disposal and replacement costs — Fewer damaged panels means less waste and fewer costly replacements.

  • Efficient return logistics — Removable sidewalls lock into the pallet base, allowing pallets to return at 1/5 the erected size.

  • Lower labor and disposal costs — Reusability, added protection, and consistent handling reduce repackaging, cleanup, and waste removal.

  • Reduced packaging costs — Reusable pallets typically pay for themselves within 3–5 uses, replacing wood pallets you’d otherwise buy and haul away on every project.

  • Sustainable by design — Made from post-industrial HDPE and 100% recyclable at end of life.

PVpallet Series X pallets stacked four high with solar panels loaded inside, reducing breakage and packaging waste and maximizing warehouse space

Optimize warehouse storage, stacking & handling safety

  • Safer storage for loose solar panels — Robust pallet construction provides a stable, organized way to store and manage solar panels in warehouse environments.

  • Fits a wide range of panel sizes — Customizable pallet widths support multiple solar panel dimensions with a single packaging solution.

  • No load on the panels when stacked — Reinforced sidewalls ensure zero weight is placed on the solar panels when stacking pallets up to four high.

  • Simplified staging and partial shipments — Load-management features support vertically stacked panels, making it easier to stage, ship, and break down partial loads.

*Series X and XL side walls are adjustable in 2” (50.8 mm) increments. Series XL standard maximum interior length is 90”; custom lengths available upon request. Dimensions may vary in extreme temperatures.

**As all products can have unique loading patterns and shifting characteristics, PVpallet recommends that customers perform their own load capacity testing. PVpallet’s standard is to target and test to the maximum weight limits as shown in the specifications. PVpallet does not warrant that all loads will perform the same as lab testing.

Customization Options

Built around your solar modules.

When a standard Series X or XL doesn’t fit your modules, storage layout, or jobsite conditions, we customize it. Options range from longer bases and taller sidewalls to weather covers and module-specific dunnage. For example, we built a Series XL with a center divider and water-jetted foam slots that carries 76 First Solar Series 3 or Series 4 modules per pallet, about 2,000 lb, and stacks two high in storage.

  • Custom Lengths

Sidewalls adjust in 2” increments across a 20” range, and custom builds go up to 114” of interior length for oversized and non-standard modules.

  • Extended Sidewalls

Taller sidewalls raise interior height to 48.75”, with taller options available. Still holds 2,000 lb and collapses to 10.5” for return.

  • Pallet Covers

8mm polycarbonate covers designed to withstand wind and hail. Choose a 3-panel cover (two sides and a top) or a 5-panel cover (four sides and a top).

  • Custom Dunnage

Foam inserts and dividers built around your modules. Example: a Series XL customized for First Solar Series 3 & 4 holds 76 modules, each in its own foam slot.
